My baby jumped the fence in our yard in Mint Hill on December 21st around 3pm. She is a female, 2 year old, blue merle Australian shepherd mix and weighs about 30lbs. I spotted a black cat today which may or may not be one of the missing cats listed on this page. I am not an expert on cats, but it looked small, not a kitten, but also not an adult - I would guess maybe a year year old. It was not thin - looked healthy. I saw it from a distance and don't remember if it had a collar or not. I am not positive, but I think it did have some white spots on it as well, but I don't remember exactly where they were located. I am so sorry for being so vague, it was rush hour and the traffic was moving.

I saw the cat in the median on Route 29 South. There was heavy traffic at that time so I was not able to pull over. I was able to see him in my rear view mirror for a few seconds and was going to try to pull over so I could help him, but the next time I looked in my mirror I could no longer see him. On my way back I looked closely at the area where I saw him / her and noticed a concrete slab so perhaps it was able to crawl underneath that. The exact area that I saw it was 29 South - go passed S & D Coffee on the right, then on the left is a Chic Fila. It was in the median right passed the Chic Fila - you can see the square concrete slab from the road.

If you think this might be your cat and need me to take you to the exact area I saw it you can call me at 980-207-9255. I sure hope the poor thing doesn't get killed crossing the road. I am surprised he made it to median to begin with.

Our two dogs dug out our fence this afternoon, Our boxer, Buddy, has been found hit by a car on 73 and did not make it.

About 6 weeks ago, a starving stray cat came up on our front porch. We are just on Hwy 601 near the intersection with Cabarrus Avenue in Concord. She was wearing an old flea collar so we knew she had belonged to someone at some time. She was nervous but hunger helped her to trust us. We fed her every day until she was stronger but for weeks she would only eat and run off only to return to eat again. Finally, she began to trust us and she allowed us to pet her and eventually one day she just hopped into the house! She still likes to go in and out every day but spends more and more time indoors. She likes to sit on the table and look out the window. She is a real hunter and is very curious. She is not afraid of our dog and has quickly acclimated with him. She still has trust issues and will only allow brief petting but will now occasionally come up to you for love. She is so sweet and smart. We searched Craig's list and other sources to see if anyone had lost her and found no such inquiries. We tried to place her with friends and family and no one as of yet can take on another cat. We have not taken her to the vet so she has had no shots. We have researched her markings and have determined that she is probably a Norwegian Forest Cat due to her facial structure. If not she is a small Maine Coon but does not have the lynx tips on her ears or square face. Her coat is beautiful and she seems to be in excellent health. She is so calm and sweet natured. Just a lovely animal who loves to be an indoor/outdoor cat. In time she may be content indoors all the time.

There have been two adult brown dogs, possibly labs, running around my yard, and in my woods. They have collars on them, so I know they belong to someone. I haven't caught them because I don't know if they are aggressive. They are pretty big, so I don't want to get near them if they do turn out to be aggressive.
I believe they belong to someone near by, as they wonder around in the same area. If you can find their owners, please tell them to come pick
them up. I have a small mini beagle and I'm afraid to let her out while they are roaming around.

I found a young cat, <1 year old on the green way in Concord near historic downtown Concord. The cat is very friendly and came right up to my wife and I, along with other people who where in the park on the green way at the time. I assume that it has a home somewhere in that area and would like to re-unite it with them.
The cat is a tabby with black feet and black rings on its tail. It also has a small tuft of tan fur that stands out from the tabby coat on the center of its back.

Grace is a dark gray and white cat with what looks like a small scar on the right side of the bridge of her nose. She ran out of our home on Sun 10/23 in the Southcircle/Pless/Central Dr area. I found this kitten (only a couple of months old) this morning in the Abingdon subdivision (off Rocky River Road) when I was running and it followed me home to the Magnolia Springs neighborhood . We have it at our house now - but it is clearly someone's indoor kitten. It has a gold collar and bell on its neck - but no name or address. It is a calico with white paws and underbelly.

He is not microchipped or fixed, but otherwise looks like he is in good condition. He looks like a young adult (under 1 year old) and maybe weighs in the 40 lb. range? I’m not great at guessing weight, but he is slightly smaller than my smallest (55 lbs.) – but he is all muscle too, lol. He obviously belongs (or belonged) to someone as he knows the command for sit and also walks well on a leash. He also is not food aggressive – I gave him a bowl of food earlier and after making him sit, I put it down. He only sniffed it. So I put some in my hand and held it out, he ate some and I dropped the rest back in the bowl and he then ate. I have also given him treats today. He is very loving – cuddles and kisses me. And he did well with greeting a few strangers on our walk.
